Andrew Burscough Racing Report:

Friday practice went good, with the valve handling well and showing no signs of ill effects from the crash at Brands.
A few tell tale signs were pointing to a headgasket problem, so this was changed, and the bike was good to go for Saturday's qualifying.
Qualifying was wet, but unfortunately, I just couldn't put a clear lap in, though I qualified 6th ypm and 12th overall, with the mixed 400 cc class.
First race started dry, but I got boxed in at the hairpin on the first lap, then lost a few more places when it started to rain on the last lap.
With the track now fully wet, I held my breath and managed to nip past Damian Lee on the last corner for fourth place.
Race two, I got a blinding start into 3rd place, but a few laps later I was passed by two 400 cc bikes.
With two laps to go, Richard Hayward came past, although I got him back. Richard then dived past me onto the straight, but I managed to pass him back and hold on to third place, gaining my first ypm podium with my sponsors Madbiker Designs and Kusari Leathers.
On sunday's race 1 I had a good start, but got nudged on my right clip on, making riding a bit awkward. The race was then stopped, so I managed to staightened it out whilst reforming on the grid.
On the restart I had another good start, but braking for honda I bent my clip on forward, so I pulled off while in 3rd.
Last race, and while sitting in 3rd my engine nipped up going into the hairpin. It was later diagnosed as being a blown base gasket.
So, overall a mixed weekend, but with the bike showing more potential.
Snetterton is up next, so its all go to get the bike ready.
